Sacred Music
at Most Precious Blood
Sacred music “elevates the spirit precisely by wedding it to the senses, and it elevates the senses by uniting them with the spirit.”
- Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI),
The Spirit of the Liturgy, 15
Welcome!
Welcome to the Sacred Music website of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. We place tremendous emphasis on sacred music as part of our vital liturgical celebrations. The Church teaches that liturgical music is a "necessary and integral part of the sacred liturgy" that "adds delight to prayer, fosters unity of minds [and] confers greater solemnity upon the sacred rites." -Sacrosanctum Concillium, 112
All of us involved in Sacred Music Ministry sincerely hope that you will give prayerful consideration to joining one of our choirs. There is a place for everyone from children 8 years old and up to adults. Please feel free to reach out by email or leave a message with the office and I'll try to answer questions as best as I am able. And feel free to stop by after Mass to say hello!
Sincerely in Christ,
Meaghan King, D.M.A
