About Our Parish

On October 10th, 1966, Bishop Thomas J. Drury planted a seed on the Southside of Corpus Christi, Texas. That seed has grown into something beautiful --

Most Precious Blood Catholic Parish, a thriving, Spirit-filled community of faith that has served this corner of South Texas for nearly 60 years.
We are not just a church. We are a family — rooted in the Blood of Christ, nourished by the Sacraments, and called together by a God who never stops pursuing His people.

As a proud parish of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, we are part of a larger mission that stretches across South Texas — and everything we do here at Most Precious Blood flows from that mission: to know Christ, to love Christ, and to make Him known.

Most Precious Blood is blessed with dedicated shepherds who walk alongside this community with faith, humility, and love.

Pastor — Father Joseph A. Lopez

Parochial Vicar — Father Arularasu Mathias

Parochial Vicar — Father Javier Ebertowski

Together, Father Lopez and our parochial vicars lead this parish with a shared commitment to the Gospel, the Sacraments, and the people of Most Precious Blood. Whether you need the Sacrament of Reconciliation, pastoral counsel, or simply a priest to pray with — our shepherds are here for you.

A Growing Community of Faith

Most Precious Blood is a vibrant and growing parish — and growth here is not just measured in numbers. It is measured in lives transformed by grace, families strengthened by community, and souls drawn deeper into relationship with Jesus Christ.

From young families taking their first steps in the faith to lifelong parishioners who have called this Southside parish home for decades, Most Precious Blood is a community that spans every age, every background, and every walk of life — united by one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
