Baptism
Baptism
The sacrament of baptism ushers us into the divine life, cleanses us from sin, and initiates us as members of the Christian community. It is the foundation for the sacramental life.
Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit. (John 3:5)
Reception of Baptism
There is no age boundary for a person to receive Baptism. If you would like to have a child (Ages: Infant-17) baptized, please follow these steps:
- Please register for Baptism by contacting the office 3 weeks prior to the Baptism.
- Parents and Godparents are required to take instructions before Baptism.
- Godparents must be Catholics in good standing in the Church
- Children who are of the age where they are attending school daily, will have to register with our Religous Education Program. These children must attend on a regular basis for a couple of months before being eligible to receive Baptism.
You may contact the parish office by calling 361-854-3800
Parish Office Hours are:
